Peggle 2 and other distractions

Just a quick post to let people know I’m still alive. I’ve mostly been working to deadlines or doing extra hours at the library in the run-up to Christmas. In theory this will give me more time in the next few weeks, but as new distractions and tasks keep popping up, we’ll see…

Main distraction this last week or so has been the release of Peggle 2 on the XBox.

It’s turned into a horrible time sink, but the multiplayer has proved to be actually very well done, while remaining a light enough game to generally be able to hand the controller to people and just let them get on with it. Very good, especially as it’s cheap too.

The animations are cute, but with an edge that older players will appreciate even as they fly over younger kids’ heads. It’s even managed to distract us from playing Forza.

Get it and give it a whirl.
