We didn’t get up to much on this rainy Bank Holiday Monday, but while Lady M worked on editing her latest podcast episode I started looking over the various dice sets that I have and stacked them in a dice tray I recently bought.

I’ve only really started buying dice again over the last year or two, and the vast majority of what I have are partial sets accumulated over nearly 40 years of playing tabletop games. They include spherical dice, outsized dice, metal and resin sets, even some wood dice.

And there’s a lovely tactile and auditory element to playing with dice that can be very calming. I’ve left some of the sets and miscellaneous dice out in the tray for that very purpose, while others have been returned to their protective bags – if only so they don’t damage or get damaged by anything.
