You will need: boiling water, teabags, honey, lemon juice, cheap blended whisky.
Instructions: Boil the kettle and add the water to a teabag in a large mug – allow to steep for a minute or so and then remove it – I usually give the bag a bit of a squeeze with the back of a spoon to eke a little more flavour out. Add a generous dollop of honey – about a teaspoon or two – cheap supermarket own-brand runny honey does perfectly well and then 2-3 teaspoons of lemon juice. You’re looking for the clear golden colour of the tea to turn smokily yellow in colour and texture. Then add a splash of whisky to taste.
